Passive Fire Protection (PFP)
J15 to J180 and H15 to H180
The main purpose of passive fire protection is to shield equipment and pipelines from fire exposure for a defined period, allowing people to evacuate safely.
The protection systems are designed for jet fire, meeting the requirements of ISO 22899-1 and OTI 95-634, and for hydrocarbon pool fire, complying with UL 1709. Their composition is tailored to each risk scenario, accounting for the fire’s behavior and intensity. Both types of protection can perform for up to 180 minutes.
Each scope is specified using a code that begins with the letter J or H, followed by the protection time in minutes, ensuring accurate design and application.
These solutions are suitable for structural and equipment protection and are certified with Type Approval by Lloyd’s Register and ABS (American Bureau of Shipping).
