Pressurized Anchored Piles (Presso-Anchoring)

The Pressurized Anchored Pile (Presso-Anchoring) is a foundation technique that can be applied both in new structures and in the reinforcement of existing foundations. This technology is particularly advantageous in challenging terrains, such as areas with high groundwater levels, boulders or old foundations. It is also an efficient solution for space-constrained areas, allowing installation in locations with headroom as low as 2.5 meters.

Key benefits of Presso-Anchoring:

  • Use in highly obstructed environments – The main feature of this system is the pile’s flexibility, allowing it to be inserted into the borehole in environments with significant interference and minimum headroom of 2.5 meters. This advantage enables foundation reinforcement and new foundations without major modifications to the client’s site;
  • Soil reinforcement around the pile – The pile uses an in-situ grout injection system. In addition to forming the pile body, the grout encapsulates the steel for protection and strengthens the surrounding soil through the formation of grout bulbs;
  • Reduced pile diameter – The smaller diameter required for the service simplifies drilling, resulting in less excavated soil volume and, consequently, lower operational costs;
  • Flexible application – This technique can be adapted to various soil types, making it suitable for different geotechnical conditions.
